Homeschool
Creative Program

ThinkerStudio's Homeschool Program is designed to enrich your child(ren)'s experiences and learning with hands-on activities that are rooted in S.T.E.A.M. principles as well as the natural world and literacy/writing.  Each week, we explore different topics, and students work on both guided and self-directed projects that spark students' interests and curiosity.
Homeschool Creative Program at a glance:
 
  • Program fee is $60/day (Summer schedule will allow for program to be purchased from week to week)
  • Program is held on Thursdays from 10:00-3:00.
  • Geared towards ages 6-12 years but not exclusive to those ages.
  • Limited to 15 students.
  • Program activities incorporate art, nature, science and other components that can be messy so make sure to dress child(ren) accordingly.
  • Each student should bring a labeled bottle of water, a snack and a packed lunch.
  • The program utilizes both inside and outside areas of ThinkerStudio so please pack sunscreen if needed.

Program Components:

STEAM incorporates science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on activities and experiences. Each week will introduce students to various concepts that allow students to will explore, investigate and create using STEAM principles such as "light" or "symmetry". 

Process Art will allow students to explore and create using a variety of artistic styles, techniques, and mediums.  Activities will be both instructor-led as well as student-led. These experiences and activities give students a chance to learn who they are as artists while exploring new mediums and techniques.

Exploring Authors and Illustrators incorporates literature, writing, art, and games in hands-on activities that are age appropriate and engaging. Each week, we will explore an author and/or illustrator and participate in a variety of activities that will get students excited about reading and writing.

Natural Science will focus on specific natural, life, and earth science content.  Students will explore scientific concepts such as "life cycles" or "adaptations" through hands-on activities that help them understand and better define what "life cycles" or "adaptations" mean to them as scientists. Program is hands-on and many times will be spent outdoors so please dress accordingly.
