Summer Camps 2025

ThinkerStudio will be offering Summer Camps this 2025 summer!  These camps are designed to inspire the young creatives and tinkerers in your life. The morning session will include a focused creative topic, while the afternoon allows for campers to do some independent creating, tinkering, and socializing.  Campers will need to bring their own snacks, lunches and water bottles. All supplies are included in the camp cost.

Summer Camps at a glance​​
  • Monday-Friday from 9:00-2:00 
  • $350 per week
  • Registration fees are due at the time of registration.
  • Limited to 8-10 students.
  • Recommended for ages 8-14 years.
  • Program activities incorporate art, nature, science and other components that can be messy so make sure to dress child(ren) accordingly.
  • Each student should bring a labeled bottle of water, a snack and a packed lunch.
  • The program utilizes both inside and outside areas of ThinkerStudio so please pack sunscreen if needed.

Camp Schedule
 
​Hand Sewn Creations (June 2-6)
Campers will learn how to hand sew, machine sew, and embroidery a variety of projects from sewing their own stuffies to adding embellishments to bags. Some projects will incorporate using a sewing machine which will be provided.

Wearable Art Creations (June 9-13)
Wearable art combines design, art, fashion, and even technology in one median where one can express themself in a fun and unique way. Campers will learn about how to use different types of fabrics and materials for their one-of-a-kind fashion accessories such as purses, hats, scarves, pins and more. Some projects will incorporate using a sewing machine which will be provided.

Storytelling through Stop Motion Animation (June 16-20)
Campers will explore the art of storytelling through an animation process called Stop Motion. With stop motion, campers develop a story, create characters, and set up scenes using a variety of materials. Stories are told by a collection of individual pictures and are collaged together to make an animated movie.​ â€‹

Sculptures with Mixed Media (June 23-27)
Does your child like to create with their hands? Campers will work with a variety of materials (such as wood, wire, paper, clay, fibers, found objects, old toys and more) to create original 3-dimensional pieces. Campers will also learn how to use different tools such as drills, saws, and other cutting tools.​

Storytelling through Illustration (July 7-11)
Campers will explore and study the art of storytelling through illustration design used by various illustrators and create their own stories. Campers will have the option of publishing their stories into a book at the end of camp.

Upcycled Fashion Design (July 28-August 1)
Your old jeans no longer fit, great! Campers will learn how to upcycle, repurpuse and reuse clothing and other materials to create new fashion designs while learning basic sewing and stitching techniques. Some projects will incorporate using a sewing machine which will be provided.

Creating with Circuits (August 4-8)
Is your child curious about how circuits work? Campers will explore how circuits work and create fun, STEAM-related projects involving circuits. Campers will also learn to use programs such as Squishy Circuits, MakeyMakey, and Micro:bits (including some programming).

THINKERSTUDIO's Refund Policy:

 

Parents/Guardians who notify ThinkerStudio at least 5 days before a class begins that they are unable to attend the studio are eligible for a 50% refund. NO REFUNDS are given for cancellation less than 5 days before class begins.

 

Credits for monthly tuition are issued under the following circumstances:

- Your child is absent due to illness.

- Your child is required to sit out of the program due to quarantine.​

- In the event of an unexpected school closure due to weather, an emergency or natural disaster, including temporary closures due to COVID-19, tuition for that month will not be refunded or discounted.
