Creative Program

ThinkerStudio's Homeschool Creative Program is designed to provide a safe space where children can explore, manipulate and create freely. Through experiences and explorations using principles of S.T.E.A.M., process art and the natural world, children will have complete autonomy over their decisions in materials, tools, and techniques while working on their creations.
Homeschool Creative Program at a glance:
 
  • Program fee is $90/month for half day or $180/month for full day.
  • Program is held on Thursdays with half-day or full day options.
  • Half day option is 12:30-3:00 and full day option is 10:00-3:00.
  • Geared towards ages 6-12 years but not exclusive to those ages.
  • Limited to 12 students.
  • Program activities incorporate art, nature, science and other components that can be messy so make sure to dress child(ren) accordingly.
  • Each student should bring a labeled bottle of water, a snack and a packed lunch (for full day students).
  • The program utilizes both inside and outside areas of ThinkerStudio so please pack sunscreen if needed.

Program Components:

STEAM incorporates science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on activities and experiences. Students will have access to a variety of materials that allows them to explore, manipulate and create using scientific principles, circuits, programming, animation, and more.

Process Art will allow students to explore and create using a variety of artistic styles, techniques, and mediums. These experiences and activities give students a chance to learn who they are as artists while exploring new mediums and techniques.
 
Loose Parts in art refers to materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. The idea of 'loose parts' uses materials to empower a creative imagination.

Gardening will explore principles in developing and maintaining a wildlife habitat gardens as well as using sustainable practices in the community.  Program is hands-on and many times will be spent outdoors so please dress accordingly.
THINKERSTUDIO's Refund Policy:

Parents/Guardians who notify ThinkerStudio at least 5 days before a class begins that they are unable to attend the studio are eligible for a 50% refund. NO REFUNDS are given for cancellation less than 5 days before class begins.

Credits for monthly tuition are issued under the following circumstances:
- Your child is absent due to illness.
- Your child is required to sit out of the program due to quarantine.
- In the event of an unexpected school closure due to weather, an emergency or natural disaster, including temporary closures due to COVID-19, tuition for that month will not be refunded or discounted.
